Job match

We are taking High School kids to camp June 27-July 2 and Middle School kids to camp July 22-26.
We are committed to helping every kid who wants to go to camp and needs financial help…get there. You can help us!

FAQ:
 Why “Job Match”?

Kids fundraise for a lot of things. We’d rather not ask them to sell something else and manual labor is healthy. We’d like to connect our kids and community members.

Will leaders be working with the students?

Yes, there is double value when kids and leaders are working side by side. Relationships are deepened and supervision is provided.

How skilled are the workers?

Hmm, manual labor projects needing little skill are a perfect fit for us. But don’t hesitate to chat with Todd about your specific needs.

How much do you charge?

We don’t have a set price. You might consider a per hour rate. For example: If four people work 2hrs. You can calculate 8hrs x $___ = total.

Is my donation tax-deductible?

Yes, your “payment” is a donation to Young Life and 100% of your gift will be earmarked for the students who worked your job. Camp registration and travel will cost each student $700, so kids are very motivated to work.

Can I just make a flat donation?

Yes, whatever amount you decide to give will be divided between the kids that worked for you.

Can I make a general donation that can be used to help other kids get to camp?

Yes, any donation, small or large, is welcome.

Do I need to be home while the work is being done?

No, not if the adult leaders have clear instructions on what you want done.

Do I need to provide transportation?

No, our adult leaders will handle transportation.

How soon will I hear from YL and when will the work be completed?

When you submit your form, we will start scheduling kids and leaders to complete the job. Time will depend on overall demand and the availability of kids and leaders.
